Anson Kong is a Hong Kong male singer, actor, and dancer born on October 16, 1992. He reached the top ten of "Good Night Show 全民造星" and later became MIRROR's deputy leader.
His attempts before entering the industry spanned talent competitions, trainee experience, and backup dancing. Anson Kong took part in the Hong Kong regional selection for "快樂男聲" in 2013; in 2014, he signed with a company and went to South Korea as a trainee, but the debut plan ended six months later, and he became a dancer after returning to Hong Kong and terminating his contract. In 2017, he entered the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regional selection for "快樂男聲" and, after performing at that year's handover anniversary gala, decided that he no longer wanted only to dance behind artists and hoped to move to the front of the stage.
"Good Night Show 全民造星" marked the point when that journey moved into the group stage. Anson Kong registered for the competition in April 2018 as contestant number 23; on November 3 that year, ViuTV announced the formation of MIRROR, and Kong became one of its twelve members and deputy leader.
His solo music career began with "特登": the song was released on February 29, 2020, marking Anson Kong's solo debut. In August 2021, Kong appeared as a guest at both shows of the band 太極's "Rainbow after Rain" concert, taking the stage at the Hong Kong Coliseum as a solo artist for the first time.
His background as a dancer also informed his solo work. Discussing "Keep Rollin’," Anson Kong said that when he had just debuted solo, he first wanted to try other fields and only later released his own dance song; the track incorporates RAP elements and was co-written with 徐浩. His exact words were: "It was not until this year that I genuinely wanted to release my own dance song."
Anson Kong held two performances of his solo concert "ANSON KONG 「THE GAME OF LIFE」IN MY SIGHT SOLO CONCERT 2024" at AsiaWorld-Expo on July 29 and 30, 2024.
Unit performances within the group remain part of his stage work. In 2025, Anson Kong, Lokman Yeung, Alton Wong, and Frankie Chan performed "W.T.F.2 Live 2025" at Hall 10 of AsiaWorld-Expo as members of MIRROR's "FING" unit.
Beyond live performance, Anson Kong has continued acting in films. In April 2026, he starred in "我們不是什麼" as 莊耀暉.
