Chui Tien-you is a Hong Kong male singer and actor, born on May 16, 1983. His birth name is 徐文健, and he is also a member of Shine.
His entry into entertainment came through an advertisement shoot: in 1997, while in Form Three, Chui Tien-you was discovered by director 陳果 to film a beverage advertisement. He subsequently signed a management contract and made his film debut in "細路祥", directed by 陳果. After graduating from secondary school, Chui Tien-you spent six months studying in Japan, then formally entered the industry upon his return and filmed "愛上我吧" and "玻璃少女".
His experience in a music group began in 2002, when Chui Tien-you and Wong You-nam formed Shine, which subsequently released records. By 2006, Chui Tien-you had begun pursuing a separate career from the group, shifting his focus to film and behind-the-scenes production. After taking part in "Concert YY 黃偉文作品展" in 2012, Shine reunited and held "Shine Again 演唱會" followed by "Shine Passion Live 2012-2013誇年演唱會".
His film work after going separate ways with the group included different types of roles: Chui Tien-you played the grown-up son in "父子" and a magician in "魔術男". In 2008, Chui Tien-you received the Asia Pacific Actors Award's "Rising Star" prize at the 13th Busan International Film Festival.
In 2009, Chui Tien-you played a psychologically disturbed young man and took the male lead role in "心魔". The film won the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at the Locarno International Film Festival.
The opportunity to enter an international production came after multiple auditions: at the end of 2010, Chui Tien-you was selected by Steven Soderbergh for a major role in the Hong Kong segment of "世紀戰疫".
Beyond acting, Chui Tien-you extended his creative work to songs, novels, scripts, and columns, and made his directorial debut with the short film "拾" in 2006. After founding a production company in 2011, he continued producing films and short-form videos.
Chui Tien-you appeared in "那夜凌晨，我坐上了旺角開往大埔的紅VAN" in 2014 and created its theme song, "街口有落". He later played the young 磊樂 in "風再起時".
Solo music and television roles followed beginning in 2019: Chui Tien-you released his first solo album, "Thank You", in 2019 and took his first male lead role in a television drama in 2020, playing Ryan in ViuTV's "二月廿九". He composed, wrote the lyrics, arranged, produced, and performed the drama's insert song "四年一遇".
His later work also entered the field of physical and mental healing. Chui Tien-you founded Limitless Reiki Academy in 2022 and became an instructor in Reiki natural therapy and crystal singing bowls.
