About the artist

Crowd Lu, a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and actor, was born on July 15, 1985. In 2003 Crowd Lu graduated from Kang Ming Senior High School in Tainan and went north to enter the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tamkang University.

In the first year of university, after being hospitalized in an accidental car crash, Crowd Lu began to take up the guitar, and the next year won both the songwriting prize and the solo prize at Tamkang University's 金韶獎 creative-song contest, then won the creative-category championship and the popularity prize at National Chengchi University's 金旋獎; in between, Crowd Lu transferred from electrical engineering to Spanish. Record producer 鍾成虎 described Crowd Lu as "a musical prodigy who had been run over by a bus" and decided to work together.

From the end of 2006, Crowd Lu toured breakfast shops, campus guitar clubs, record stores and men's dormitories at universities around Taiwan. According to album notes from 添翼創越工作室, over a little more than a year there were an Eslite tour; the tour "搖滾早餐店巡迴", which drew a police ticket; the tour "我愛唱片行巡迴", meant to cheer up record shops in a slump; the tour "我愛吉他社巡迴演出", at the invitation of guitar clubs at more than twenty universities; and many live-house shows, nearly 100 shows in all. In 2008 a video imitating Vitas, uploaded to YouTube, quickly drew Taiwanese media attention; in May that year the album "100種生活" was released.
