About the artist
Danny Yip is the bass guitarist of the Hong Kong band The Wynners. In 1969, he was already an early member of The Loosers, playing electric bass in the band.
Danny Yip remained involved when the band was re-formed. At the end of 1973, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip, Anthony Chan, manager 梁柏濤, and others re-formed The Loosers, then renamed the band The Wynners, known in Chinese as 溫拿樂隊. After Kenny Bee joined and Andrew left, the five-member lineup stabilized, with Danny Yip continuing on electric bass.
During his solo career, Danny Yip moved into the food and beverage industry. He recalled that after going solo, Alan Tam introduced him to managing a restaurant, which he did for seven or eight years. He later immigrated to Australia with his family so that his son could receive a better education. People's Daily Online also records that Danny Yip served as manager of a restaurant opened by Alan Tam and later lived in Australia.
His relationships with the other members are equally important to Danny Yip. Speaking of them, he said, "They are my brothers. My own brothers passed away very early, so The Wynners means a great deal to me."
