About the artist

Kaho Hung is a male singer and singer-songwriter from Hong Kong.

Hung graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2014 and then worked behind the scenes in audio. While still a student at the academy, he went on stage during a rehearsal for Hins Cheung's Macau concert and sang “櫻花樹下” in Cheung's place, so that Cheung could check the sound from the audience area.

In 2017, Hung won a singer's contract through a talent search run by Warner Music, and after signing he first worked in the label's artist and production department. The label suggested that he take a stage name, but he declined. In early 2018, he sang backing vocals at Janice Vidal's Hong Kong Coliseum concert “Oh My Janice”.

In May 2018, Hung released his debut single, “半天空檔”, which he helped produce; later that year came his first EP, “Curiosity”, of which only 300 physical copies were made, none of them sold to the public. That year, he received the new-artist award “勁爆新人” at the Metro Radio Hit Awards (新城勁爆頒獎禮) and a merit award for most promising newcomer at the 41st Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards (十大中文金曲), and at “2018年度叱咤樂壇流行榜頒獎典禮” (the Ultimate Song Chart Awards), held on January 1, 2019, he won the gold award for best new artist (叱咤樂壇生力軍).
