Johnny Chen, whose real name is 陳煥昌, is a Taiwanese male singer, music producer, songwriter, and film-score composer.

While serving in the military, his guidance officer believed that Johnny Chen had talent in art and music and entered him in a military arts competition. After being selected, Chen was assigned to support the military arts troupe in Muzha for a year.

Through Li Jianfu, Jonathan Lee asked Johnny Chen for songs, and Chen delivered "小雨來的正是時候" and "憶吾愛." After 徐瑋 sang Chen's composition "想不盡的你," the song achieved commercial success. Chen recalled, "Only then could I say I had truly entered this industry."

The move from performing to working behind the scenes was a career turning point that Johnny Chen himself recognized. He regarded "我是真的付出我的愛" as an important transition and said the song "symbolized my determination to move from the stage to behind-the-scenes work."
