About the artist
Jordan Chan is a Hong Kong singer and actor.
Before making his official debut, Jordan Chan worked as a commercial performance dancer at Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), dancing as a backup performer for singers including Alan Tam, Anita Mui, and Leslie Cheung, before joining Roman Tam's dance troupe "豹小子."
In 1992, Jordan Chan formed the singing-and-dancing group "風火海" with Michael Tse and 朱永棠. The group released the albums "風火海" and "歡樂世界" in 1994 and 1995 respectively. "風火海" lasted only a short time before disbanding.
Jordan Chan's first film was "晚9朝5." At the 14th Hong Kong Film Awards, Jordan Chan received nominations for both Best Supporting Actor and Best New Performer for the two films "晚9朝5" and "金枝玉葉," and ultimately won Best Supporting Actor for "晚9朝5." Jordan Chan played "山鸡" in the "古惑仔" film series; according to the United Daily News Group's "报时光," the character's name was at one point even more widely known than Jordan Chan's own name.
In June 1997, Television Broadcasts Limited decided to remake the television drama "鹿鼎記," with Jordan Chan cast as 韦小宝. In January 1999, TVBS held a fan event for "新鹿鼎记," which Jordan Chan attended in the costume and appearance of 韦小宝.
In 1999, 包小柏 tailored songs including "神啊，救救我吧" and "我沒那種命" for Jordan Chan. According to a January 2000 report by United Daily News, Jordan Chan said that after leaving "風火海," he had not danced for nearly three years in order to establish a personal style and distance himself from his previous image as a dancer; the new album incorporated dance again. Album works also include "大件事", "抱一抱", "算你狠" and "獨家記憶". At the Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards Presentation for 2001, "犯賤" won the Most Popular Online Song Award.
From January 1 to 2, 2003, Jordan Chan held his first solo concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. In 2013, Jordan Chan, Ekin Cheng, Michael Tse, Chin Ka Lok, and Jerry Lamb held a concert in Hong Kong. On August 27 and 28, 2014, at the invitation of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the five held two performances of "歲月友情演唱會" at the Hung Hom Coliseum under the name Summer Pop Live in HK 2014, performing "古古惑惑," "亂世巨星," "戰無不勝," "友情歲月," and other songs from the 古惑仔 series.
In 2021, Jordan Chan participated in the mainland variety program "披荊斬棘的哥哥" and formed the "大湾区五人组" with Julian Cheung, Edmond Leung, Michael Tse, and Jerry Lamb. In the first round of the individual competition at the fourth public performance, "三万天演唱会," Jordan Chan ranked first with "算你狠."
At China Media Group's "2025年春节联欢晚会," Jordan Chan, Liza Wang, Julian Cheung, 薛凯琪, and other singers and actors from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area performed the energetic-song creation "湾区乐好" and sang Cantonese songs including "海阔天空" and "万水千山总是情." In the same year, Jordan Chan launched the solo concert tour "生旦淨末丑," whose title was taken from lyrics of "算你狠." In January 2026, the tour reached Galaxy Arena Macau for its 24th show; the performance was divided into five parts, and Jordan Chan performed "親情," played a recording of an earlier conversation in which he thanked Roman Tam, paid tribute to his mentor Roman Tam, and invited Julian Cheung and 李承铉 as guests. At the 2026 China Media Group Spring Festival Gala, Jordan Chan sang "智造未来" with 言承旭, 罗嘉豪, and 易烊千玺.
