About the artist

Li Jianfu is a Taiwanese male singer born on October 24, 1959, known primarily for singing campus folk songs. He attended Kuang Jen High School and Tamkang University, competed in the second Golden Rhyme Awards in 1978 and was named a winner, and debuted the following year with the single "歸," included on "金韻獎3."

Before entering the music industry, Li Jianfu also appeared on a televised singing program: on February 12, 1978, he competed in the singing category of China Television Company's "六燈獎," successfully defending his title twice but not achieving "three-stage victory." That same year, "龍的傳人," already being sung on the campus of National Chengchi University, was selected by Synco Records and re-recorded by Li, setting him on a singing career. Released in 1980, "龍的傳人" was Li's first solo album and was produced by 李壽全.

His views on record production and the royalty system prompted Li Jianfu to participate in 天水樂集. In 1980, Li co-founded the collective with Tsai Chin, 蘇來, 李壽全, 許乃勝, 靳鐵章, and others; he left the music world after beginning military service in 1981.
