At "D4DJ 1st LIVE," held at Makuhari Messe on July 20 and 21, 2019, the unit was unveiled alongside the project's four other principal units, 20 characters, and their voice actors. In the project's setting, Peaky P-key is a hip-hop-themed DJ unit formed by 山手響子 and others while they were in the junior-high division of 陽葉学園; it is abbreviated as ピキピキ and is also called Peaky. The unit's musical style combines techno, hip hop, and electro-pop.
