Prudence Liew, a Hong Kong female singer and actress, was born on December 10, 1964. In 1986, while working in film production, Prudence Liew was invited to sing the theme song for a film, and in December that year released a debut self-titled album.

Records were still being released into the 1990s. Some works took up sexual subject matter; among them, "我估不到" was a number-one song on two radio stations, and only reached number two on Commercial Radio. In 1990, BMG released for Prudence Liew the concept album "赤裸感觉", built around the theme of sex.

According to Wen Wei Po and the Chinese Wikipedia, Prudence Liew had two marriages; in 2002, introduced by friend Sandy Lam, Prudence Liew married a second husband in the United States and thereafter settled in the United States. In January 2008 Prudence Liew announced a return to the Hong Kong music scene, and on April 19 and 20 held "劉美君大開色界演唱會2008" for the first time at the Hong Kong Coliseum. That same year Prudence Liew won Best Leading Actress at the 45th Golden Horse Awards for the film "我不賣身我賣子宮"; the ceremony was held on December 6 at Zhongshan Hall in Taichung. In 2009 Prudence Liew hosted the TVB singing contest "超级巨声". Several tracks on "Queen of Hardships" were written and produced by Jerald of Swing.
