About the artist

Remus Choy, born on February 6, 1967, is a Hong Kong male singer, actor, television host, lyricist, and composer who also works as a disc jockey under the name DJ Remus. In his early years, he lived with his elder brother Calvin Choy at Lei Yue Mun Road Estate in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, with Edmond So as their neighbor. In 1980, Remus Choy graduated from the morning section of Kwun Tong Methodist Primary School, where his father was then a janitor. In 1983, he completed Form Three at Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College.

After finishing Form Three, Remus Choy applied to join the police but abandoned the plan because of family opposition. By then, the school term had already begun and he could not return to a regular secondary school. He subsequently entered Form Four at the To Kwa Wan branch of Wai Wah College, but left after just over a month.

Remus Choy entered "近藤真彥模仿大賽" in 1983 and won the championship. In 1985, he formed Grasshopper with Edmond So and Calvin Choy and entered the fourth New Talent Singing Awards. That year, they were invited as guests for all fifteen performances of Anita Mui's first concert, "盡顯光華," and later accompanied her on a world tour. After signing with PolyGram Records in 1987, Remus Choy officially developed his singing career as a member of Grasshopper.
