About the artist

Monster is the guitarist and bandleader of the Taiwanese band Mayday. Born 溫尚翊 in Hsinchu City on November 28, 1976, he attended 五常國小, 大直國中, and 師大附中. At 師大附中, he and Ashin served respectively as vice presidents of the guitar club in the first and second semesters of the same academic year, and he also chaired the class association. He later attended the Department of Sociology at National Taiwan University and served as president of the university's 椰風搖滾社.

Monster's decision to learn guitar began with Japanese guitarist Tak Matsumoto. He started learning because he admired Matsumoto; in 2006, with help from his management company at the time and the Japanese management agency VERMILLION, he met Matsumoto, although a planned joint performance was later canceled.

Composition is another part of Monster's work in Mayday. In 2003, he began composing with Mayday's fourth album, "時光機," and released his first original song, "九號球," on the album. He later also composed 家家's "命運."
