About

Rhymoi Music (Rhymoi Music) is a record record label based in mainland China with a world-class influence in the fields of independent, high-end music production and cross-cultural acoustic fusion. Founded in Beijing in 2003 by veteran music producer Ye Yunchuan, Rhymoi Music was established to rediscover and preserve China’s profound traditional folk music and historical cultural heritage using the world’s most advanced acoustic technology—all amid an era of highly commercialized and fast-food-style pop music.

Rhymoi Music’s production philosophy is deeply rooted in the “artisan spirit” and the concept of “artistic archiving.” Nearly all of record label’s studio projects feature exceptionally large instrumental ensembles and specially engage top recording engineers from China and abroad (such as Li Xiaopei) to conduct extremely rigorous live recordings in CCTV’s main recording studio or at top-tier concert halls overseas. For post-production, Ruiming frequently sends master tapes to the United States, Germany, or Japan for fully analog mixing and mastering to ensure the physical media delivers the most exquisite reproduction of the acoustic field.

In terms of artistic direction, the albums released by Rhymoi Music often revolve around grand historical and cultural themes. Examples include the *Lingge* series, which epically fuses traditional Chinese Peking Opera with grand Western orchestral music; *Chang’an Gate*, which recreates the musical atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty’s golden age; and *The Girl from Kucha*, which explores the soundscapes of the Silk Road in the Western Regions. These albums not only achieve a perfect dialogue between Chinese and Western instruments in their arrangements but also extensively utilize HQCD, SACD, MQA, and high-purity vinyl records weighing 180 grams or more in their physical pressings.

In addition to the traditional physical audio-visual market, Rhymoi Music has actively promoted the global distribution of high-resolution digital audio (Hi-Res Audio) and the licensing of overseas copyrights in recent years. The international communities of acoustic engineering and music industry historians recognize that Rhymoi Music’s catalog has long transcended the realm of ordinary consumer-grade recordings; it serves as a national treasure-level repository through which China’s modern recording industry utilizes the highest technological standards to provide world-class acoustic dissemination and permanent archiving of the country’s intangible cultural heritage.
