Lowell Lo Official 2×Blu-ray set of the 2008 “2050” concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum; Disc 1 features the live performance, and Disc 2 features the karaoke track.
After an 18-year hiatus from the music scene, “Happy Honest Man” Lowell Lo released his album *08 Suddenly A Magic Moment* in 2008 and returned to the Hong Kong Coliseum to hold two performances of the “2050 Concert” on May 16.
Centered on the themes of Hong Kong people and love, the concert broke with tradition by opening with George Lam “Dare to Love, Dare to Do,” before the star Lowell Lo finally took the stage to duet with Lam on the classic “Need You Every Minute” and “Who Is My True Love,” a song he composed for the film *True Love*. Other guests that evening included Jonathan Lee, as well as a group of up-and-coming singers and bands such as Deng Jianming, Farmers, Wholala, and Tian Bi Gao. Among them, Jonathan Lee also took the rare opportunity to sing on stage, joining Lowell Lo in a duet of classics such as “I Am a Little Bird,” “The Price of Love,” and “Memories Like the Wind.” In addition, Lowell Lo premiered the concert’s new song “Parts 1 and 2 of 2050” and performed well-known hits such as “Sky Bird,” “Walking with You,” “On the Dirt Road,” and “Forever Together for a Thousand Centuries.”
