百代唱片(上海)

1908

百代唱片(上海) traces its origin to a company founded in 1908, renamed Pathé in 1910, and placed on suspended operations in April 1949.

About

百代唱片(上海) began as 柏德洋行 in 1908 and adopted the Pathé name in 1910, distributing phonographs, music discs, and film equipment for Pathé Frères. It acquired land in Shanghai for manufacturing and a studio. Columbia Graphophone acquired Pathé’s music business, including the Shanghai operation, in 1930. Yao Lee signed in 1937, and the company suspended operations in April 1949.
