About the artist
Andy Leung is a Hong Kong male singer, born on August 31, 1986, and a member of C AllStar. He attended SKH St. Peter's Primary School and St. Joseph's College in Hong Kong, and completed his matriculation courses at Cognitio College (Hong Kong) in North Point. He later studied marketing at City University of Hong Kong, went to Tsinghua University in Beijing as an exchange student in 2009, and graduated from university in 2010.
His interest in singing was already apparent during his school years: despite his mother's opposition, Andy Leung continued to enter singing competitions. In 2008, Andy Leung, Jase Ho, On Chan, and King Wu entered the "星投大戰歌唱比賽" organized by Kingdom C. The four reached the final four and were subsequently brought together to form C AllStar.
In C AllStar, Andy Leung usually serves as a lead or backing vocalist; songs on which he sings lead include "天梯", "少數", and "下靶". Andy Leung both composed and wrote the lyrics for "下靶". In October 2010, the radio single "天梯" reached number one on RTHK's Chinese Pop Chart. After the group completed a performance at the Hong Kong Coliseum, C AllStar officially went on hiatus in October 2017.
Andy Leung launched his solo career with "月亮不代表我的心", releasing it as a radio single under his own name on June 5, 2018; it topped the charts at all four stations. The song was a winning song in the second round of the 2018 Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards Presentation selections. In 2019, "28天" ranked eighth in the Ultimate Song Chart Awards' Top Ten Professional Recommendations.
His solo career also encompasses songwriting, theater, voice acting, and hosting. The album "閃亮的青春" includes "若然冬天沒有花", for which Andy Leung wrote both the music and lyrics. He has also appeared in stage productions including "慾望街車", "無法成長的我們", and "二人餐". Andy Leung has also done voice work, narrating a 2016 advertisement for Hong Kong Science Park and a 2017 Apple iPad Pro advertisement, and voicing the medical robot Baymax in Disney's animated film "大英雄聯盟". His hosting work includes co-hosting ViuTV's live variety program "直樂 VIURIETY SING還者" with 鍾卓穎.
His relationship with his record company reached a turning point in 2025. On April 1, Andy Leung announced on social media that he was leaving Media Asia Music after more than 13 years of collaboration to pursue an independent career.
