About the artist

Mr. bassist Desmond Tam was born on January 6, 1981. During his school years, he attended Hong Kong Teachers' Association Lee Heng Kwei Secondary School, Buddhist Sin Tak College, and the logistics management department at Hong Kong Polytechnic University; he also worked in the record industry.

Before the band was formed, Desmond Tam, Alan Po, Ronny Lay, Quincy Tam, and a drummer nicknamed "阿永" formed the indie band White Noise. After joining Mr., Desmond Tam served as its principal spokesperson and helped the band meet Alan Tam and sign with a record company.

Songwriting and singing were also part of Desmond Tam's work in the band: most of its songs had lyrics written by either Desmond Tam or Quincy Tam, while Desmond Tam also provided backing vocals.

The idea of reuniting the band began with a plan for a music-sharing session: Desmond Tam said in an interview that, in preparation for the session, he wrote a long message explaining his ideas to the other three members; once they understood, the four decided to reunite and perform.
