About the artist
Jase Ho is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter, born on February 25, 1990. Commonly known as SoulJase, he is also a member of C AllStar. He attended Ling To Catholic Primary School and YWCA Hioe Tjo Yoeng College, and graduated in 2012 from the Department of Culture and General Education at the College of International Education, Hong Kong Baptist University.
His music career began with a competition: in 2008, Jase Ho, On Chan, Andy Leung, and King Wu entered the "星投大戰歌唱比賽" organized by Kingdom C. The four reached the final four and were subsequently brought together to form C AllStar.
In C AllStar, Jase Ho most often serves as a lead vocalist or sings high harmonies. He wrote the lead-vocal track "韆鞦萬世" while in secondary school, and it was later included on the group's second album, "我們的胡士托."
In the online poll for "C AllStar's Best Solo Selection," Jase Ho received 3,001 votes for "Take Your Time" and won by one vote, earning a 15-minute solo performance slot at the concert.
After the group went on hiatus, Jase Ho expanded his work into writing and food content. During the 2018 Hong Kong Book Fair, he released three books: the Hong Kong and overseas editions of "West口west面eat好west," and "Self Portrait - Whatever You Say." In July that year, he collaborated with HK01 to film "SOULJASE 拉麵哥.飲食遊記," sharing his dining experiences in different Asian cities. That same month, he also co-invested with friends in the online store "Jud Do Jud Market," establishing his personal brand.
His solo music and video production continued to advance from 2019 to 2020. At the end of 2019, Jase Ho officially released "Bounce Back," an original single previously unveiled at C AllStar's pre-hiatus concert. In 2020, he released his first solo album, "藍染 Self Portrait," and he and Oscar received the "勁爆填詞" honor at the 新城勁爆頒獎禮 for "阿愁." R&B is Jase Ho's primary creative genre, while SPILL/OVERFLOW considered "藍染 Self Portrait" not a purely R&B or soul album, but one presenting a more diverse range of styles. For cover songs, Jase Ho also creates new arrangements and handles the story concept, script, casting, locations, shoot supervision, and post-production for cover-version music videos.
His writing, hosting, and group activities continued thereafter. In 2020, Jase Ho published the novel "小死亡 Die a Little" and hosted the interview program "我說," produced in collaboration with the Independent Commission Against Corruption. After C AllStar reunited in 2021, Jase Ho took part in the group's activities. In 2022, he released the romance novel "不想擁抱我的人" and worked with the online fiction platform Penana to hold an original online launch concert of the same name, sharing four new works with audiences for the first time.
Collaboration with Redholic Music and live performance marked the next phase. Since 2022, Jase Ho has more frequently worked on music production with the company's 段深瀚 and Yiu Tsang. On February 24, 2023, he held his first large-scale solo concert, "花見之酩," at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok. That year he also appeared as a guest at a music festival and held a touring performance on Christmas Eve. On January 27, 2024, Jase Ho announced at a mini-concert at the Fringe Club in Central that he had signed with Redholic as a male singer and planned to hold a six-month online music talent competition.
