About the artist
King Wu is a Hong Kong male singer, born on August 12, 1985. Also known by the stage name DJ King, he is a member of C AllStar and works as an electronic-music DJ, performer, and radio host. He attended Peking University Affiliated High School's Shenzhen branch for secondary school and graduated from the music department of Guangzhou Private Hualian College.
His entry into the music scene began with the 2008 "星投大戰歌唱比賽," in which King Wu, On Chan, Andy Leung, and Jase Ho reached the final four and were subsequently brought together to form C AllStar. Another account records that the group officially debuted in 2010.
In C AllStar, King Wu serves as a lead vocalist, high-harmony singer, and beatboxer. His lead-vocal tracks include "大雨傾城," "混沌," and "時日如飛"; for "混沌," he also handled both composition and arrangement.
King Wu also creates electronic music for group projects. "請勿靠近車門" is an electronic interlude created for the album "生於斯." He later mixed the tracks "靈魂進化" and "人人."
His performing work extended for a time into film. In 2016, King Wu was invited to film the Macao movie "那一年，我17," playing the second male lead, 楊偉. The film opened simultaneously in Hong Kong and Macao on June 22, 2017.
The DJ King identity gradually took shape around the time of the group's hiatus, and King Wu first performed at a music festival under that name in 2017. After C AllStar went on hiatus in 2018, he formally began developing his career in Hong Kong's electronic-music scene as DJ King. On January 1 that year, he performed a DJ set at the 叱咤樂壇流行榜頒獎典禮, and later co-hosted Commercial Radio Hong Kong's Ultimate 903 electronic-music program "聽𠵱啲Music" with Donald @ILUB.
In this cross-language collaboration, King Wu received official authorization from Hikaru Utada's Japanese team in 2019 to produce a Hong Kong remix of "Too Proud." He handled the new arrangement and mixing, created the Cantopop melody section, wrote lyrics, and performed the vocals. In 2020, he released his first solo electronic-music work, "進擊的生命," which received the "勁爆編曲" honor at the 新城勁爆頒獎禮 that year.
C AllStar reunited in 2021 and released the album "人類世." On December 24 that year, King Wu held his first solo concert, "DJ King 1st Solo Xmas Countdown in Concert 音樂會 2021."
Outside music, King Wu earned a snowboard-instructor qualification in 2023 and began teaching classes. On December 11 that year, he announced that he had joined Green Music, a label under Sony Music HK.
His later works continued to combine electronic production with Cantopop. At Sony Music School Tour 2025, King Wu, appearing as DJ King, rearranged multiple Cantonese songs as electronic versions. In 2025, he also sang "你知否我是誰" with Alan Po. In 2026, he released "一家之主."
