About the artist
Makoto Narazaki is the bassist and saxophonist of Official Hige Dandism. Born on March 18, 1989, he is from Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture. After entering high school, Narazaki became interested in bands because of Ging Nang Boyz; at university, he formed Official Hige Dandism with friends he met there.
Before joining the current lineup, Makoto Narazaki belonged to another band. When that band was close to becoming inactive, Narazaki received an invitation to form a group, so he left his original band and decided to continue performing with the current four members.
A work released on October 9, 2019, and used in a Suzuki Swift commercial was written and composed by Makoto Narazaki. Discussing the band's songwriting retreat, Narazaki said that various instruments were available on site and that, after someone proposed an idea, the members would respond with different sounds, often producing a result beyond what they had originally imagined.
Radio is another part of Makoto Narazaki's work. FM FUJI describes Narazaki as the host of a live variety and music program; records state that "楢﨑誠のロヂウラベース" has aired since April 1, 2019. On July 15, 2023, Narazaki and Masaki Matsuura attended an event together at Tokyo's Yamano Hall.
