About the artist
On Chan is a Hong Kong male singer-songwriter, born on July 15, 1986, and a member of C AllStar. He attended Shun Tak Fraternal Association Wu Siu Kui Memorial Primary School and Yan Oi Tong Chan Wong Suk Fong Memorial Secondary School, and graduated from the School of Nursing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2012.
His soccer career preceded his formal entry into music. From ages 14 to 18, On Chan was a member of Hong Kong's U14 through U18 youth soccer representative teams. During the 2007–2009 seasons, he became a player in the Hong Kong First Division League, representing Hong Kong 08 and Hong Kong Rangers Football Club in succession. In freestyle soccer, he won the Nike Freestyle Football Open Division championship in 2003 and was runner-up in 2007, and in 2009 he established Techni Freestyle Soccer Crew with friends.
His music career likewise began with the "星投大戰歌唱比賽": in 2008, On Chan, King Wu, Andy Leung, and Jase Ho reached the final four and were brought together after the competition to form C AllStar; the group officially debuted in 2010.
In C AllStar, On Chan most often serves as a lead vocalist or sings low harmonies, and he also participates in composition and lyric writing. His lead-vocal tracks include "我們的電車上," "時間之光," and "足球先生."
After beginning his solo career, On Chan felt directionless for a time before returning to music. In January 2019, he released his first post-group solo single, "一吻穿越四十六億歲," composed by On Chan and produced by Jim Lee, with its music video filmed in Jeju, South Korea. That year he released his first solo album, "本原," and received the 2019 叱咤樂壇唱作人金獎.
According to SPILL／OVERFLOW's count, On Chan composed five of the six songs on "本原." "本原" received the 新城勁爆頒獎禮2019勁爆專輯 honor, while "一吻穿越四十六億歲" placed ninth in the 2019 專業推介叱咤十大.
Further solo records followed: On Chan released the EP "未知之知" on December 11, 2021, and another EP, "LIFE AFTER LIFE," on December 11, 2023.
His live performances grew in scale in 2024. From February 29 through March 3, On Chan held his first large-scale, in-person solo concert, "陳健安 Live afteR Life 2024演唱會," at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok. "戀愛腦之死" placed ninth in the 2024 專業推介叱咤十大.
His solo album projects continued to advance. According to Media Asia Entertainment, On Chan released his fourth solo album, "PROJECT REJECT." On January 10 and 11, 2026, he held his first solo outdoor concert, "陳健安【時的狀態】演唱會2026," at AXA Wonderland in the West Kowloon Cultural District. From June to July that year, he participated in the filming of the variety program "JFFT歌謠祭2026," forming the team "LO-key" with JFFT member 良少.
Soccer and public activities have also continued throughout his music career. In 2014, On Chan formed TeC2 with 歐陽耀冲 to promote freestyle soccer. In 2018, he entered and won a Hong Kong regional five-a-side soccer competition, then represented the Hong Kong region in Britain against seven teams and earned third place with his teammates. That year he also formed a team for "毅行者" to raise funds for Oxfam and served as an ambassador for the "足印" campaign.
