About the artist

Satoshi Fujihara is a Japanese singer-songwriter who serves as lead vocalist and keyboardist of Official Hige Dandism. His early musical experience encompassed piano, percussion, and playing in bands. Attending piano lessons as a child was his first exposure to music; in elementary and junior high school, he aspired to become a professional drummer, while in high school he played percussion in the wind ensemble. In 2008, during his first year of high school, Fujihara formed a band for the first time.

After entering university, Satoshi Fujihara continued to play drums. In 2011, during his first year, he joined ぼすとん茶の湯会, a group formed by students from Tottori University and Shimane University. Fujihara did not formally begin serving as a lead vocalist until the band was formed.

Satoshi Fujihara took the initiative in assembling the band's lineup. In his third year of university, he contacted the other three members individually and set the goal of selling out a headlining show at a live venue in Shimane Prefecture that held about 200 people. Fujihara said that he had previously played in cover bands separately with each of the three; because he trusted their character and musicianship, he believed they were the right partners if he wanted to make better music. The four formed Official Hige Dandism on June 7, 2012.
