About the artist
SoftHard is a group from Hong Kong formed by Jan Lamb and Eric Kot. Kot is reportedly known within the group as "軟天師".
In 1988, the two joined Commercial Radio Hong Kong as DJs and formed SoftHard. They later hosted several programs on 叱咤903, including "老人院時間", and also hosted the TVB program "軟硬製造".
In the late nineties, the two pursued separate careers; in 2003, Kot returned to Commercial Radio to host various programs. From 2006, the two began collaborating again as a group, including holding concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
The group released albums and compilations through Cinepoly Records; in 2006, Gold Typhoon Hong Kong and Commercial Radio jointly produced and released the album "Long Time No See". In May 2026, Cinepoly Records released the compilation "MULTIVERSE OF CINEPOLY 40TH ANNIVERSARY - 軟硬天師".
On August 3, 2024, to mark Commercial Radio's 65th anniversary, Lamb and Kot reunited for a one-night-only concert, "拉闊音樂會 軟硬廣播道3號FANS殺人事件", at AsiaWorld-Expo, with Eason Chan appearing as the finale guest.
